What's your business, and who are your customers?

Blossoming Heart Guidance offers inner growth coaching for soul survivors who have gone through sweet hell and want to mend their hearts and bloom in their lives.

Tell us about yourself

I am a free spirit, coach, workshop facilitator, meditator, and writer who loves to connect honestly and deeply with many people. As someone who has gone through a number of relationship and family traumas, I sought my own personal healing and growth to help me grow in self-esteem and self-love. Developing a spiritual practice and healing my inner child were important steps for me to open up and change my life to something that is healthier, more at peace, and more creative. As I healed and grew, I felt pulled to support and guide others who struggled similarly -- and so Blossoming Heart was birthed over 11 years ago.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I've served over 1,600 people around the world through one-on-one sessions or small group workshops.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Believing in myself and my ideas and going through the roller coaster of socio-economic changes (e.g., COVID times, inflation, recession, etc.). There is no rulebook for solopreneurship, especially for soul-based businesses. You have to make it up as you go.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Do a simple marketing plan (it will change as you grow, but you really need to have this as a basis).
  2. Know your unique value and be able to express it easily. This allows you to show up energetically with a sense of self-worth and confidence.
  3. Clarify if you are a solopreneur, freelancer, small business owner, or corporation. Once you know who you are in the realm of business, you can access the appropriate resources. What works for a freelancer won't work for someone starting a corporation. There are a ton of business resources that can intimidate you when you start. If you know which ones work for your type of business, you won't get pulled into the rabbit hole of too much information that leads nowhere.
