What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a Naturopathic physician who practices cosmetic injections. My patients are men and women who are looking to refresh or restore their look. I am known for listening to my patients and guiding them by providing options to reach their goals. It's not about anti-aging with botox and fillers but about restoring and feeling like yourself and having the choice to soften lines restore volume loss, or enhance lips.
Tell us about yourself
I didn't initially become a Naturopathic doctor to offer cosmetic injections, but my journey brought me here, and I do love it! I give my patients instant gratification and make people happy through boosting their confidence. I have patients who have been coming to me for years, and I feel like the relationships I have built with them motivate me to keep doing what I'm doing. Not to mention the results are also very gratifying to see.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I work for myself and don't have employees, so I would say just being able to accommodate patients when I can and having flexibility in my schedule. As well as expanding my services, education, and training when I choose always feels accomplishing.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
I'm more of a contractor, so I don't have the details of running a building or business with employees, but I do work with multiple locations and have to manage my payment systems and travel with supplies. So keeping everything smooth and easy for the transition would be the biggest challenge while being a mom of young kids.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Go slow and never sacrifice quality for quantity. Make sure you are passionate about what you do, and that will drive the workload. Support others who are in the same industry because we are all human and can all succeed together.
