What's your business, and who are your customers?

I help women get healthy, lose weight and keep it off without dieting. I help them achieve this by balancing macronutrients and building sustainable habits.

Tell us about yourself

I used to overly restrict calories and spend hours on the treadmill as I thought this was “healthy.” However, this led me to binge eating behaviours and a poor relationship with food, and I was really unhappy with my body. I turned this all around after spending four years at University studying nutrition and dietetics. Once I learned how to fuel my body properly and put the principles in practice for myself, I became healthier, stronger, and more confident and improved my relationship with food. I now help other women do the same.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Spending three years making and publishing a recipe book called Meet The Macros with my cousin and business partner Vernice Gasper.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Learning all the tech! I am a health professional so learning how to build a website, use social media and use data is by far the hardest for me. They don’t teach you all of this at University.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

You need to be extremely passionate about your mission. You will come across so many hurdles and challenges, but when things get tough, reflecting back on your purpose and why you started in the first place is what keeps you going.
