What's your business, and who are your customers?
Healing Trails is a small, privately owned group practice that provides counseling support for individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and all things mental health.
Tell us about yourself
I first started my group practice because I wanted to continue to be able to help people who were reaching out for help, instead of turning them away, due to my individual time and capacity restraints. I realized that if I grew a business, my team and I could continue to reach more people and provide access to those who wanted it. What motivates me each day to do what I do is the hope that the support that my team and I provide for an individual grows into the larger community and systems around us.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I feel that the biggest accomplishment as a business owner that I have is finding a way to provide more access to clients in our community, which need help, and may otherwise not be able to receive it.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The hardest thing that comes with being a business owner is finding enough time to get everything completed while still creating healthy boundaries for yourself.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- You can do it!
- Trust yourself and be confident in the choices you make.
- Be sure to set goals, but be flexible in the direction(s) that the business takes you.
