Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Savitree Kaur, Co-Founder of HealedLovedFed, located in Chicago, IL, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

We use meditation and small habit shifts to deliver sustained energy and body intelligence to overwhelmed women who want to live an authentic, content life.

Tell us about yourself

I was living a life that looked great on the outside but was stressed, depressed, unsure, off the mark, and exhausted on the inside. I was busy doing things that took me further away from a rich, authentic, joyful, peaceful life. Looking for a shift away from the gym and in search of vitality and purpose, I stumbled upon yoga (landed on kundalini yoga), meditation (mostly breath & mantra), food for healing (landed on Ayurveda), and mentors that guided my personal practice through motherhood, financial stress, and work.

My journey began shortly after my first child was born. They are now 24 and 20 years old and amazing, and I live tapped into joy and equanimity. I trust myself, and I love my daily schedule. Because I attract deep conversations and am a witness to the pain and celebrations of both my clients and "strangers" I run into in social settings, they continually inspire me to get up every morning to do what I do. I know I'm making a difference, and I'm very blessed for it.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Creating, broadcasting, and monetizing a service built on practices that absolutely changed my life, watching it transform others, and seeing the inspiration that I've had on others to join me.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Understanding your tribe, communicating with, and serving them effectively and authentically while honoring your dream life.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be brutally honest with what is inspiring you to do this.
  2. Do it with the deepest regard for who you want to serve.
  3. Know what resources you have to tap into.
