Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Susannah Juteau, founder of Headache Nutritionist, located in San Francisco Bay Area, CA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

If you are looking to reverse chronic headache conditions (like Migraine!) with a natural approach so you can stop worrying about food triggers, cut down on meds, and consistently feel better, then working with Susannah at Headache Nutritionist is for you!

Tell us about yourself

After a ten-hour brain surgery, I developed chronic daily headaches and dealt with frequent migraine attacks. The neurologists were puzzled. I was frustrated. As a registered dietitian, I eventually gave up on the typical medical approach for headaches and developed my own protocol using food to heal.

After focusing on improving and repairing my gut along with allowing gut rest, I was able to get off all meds, gained control over my headaches, and have now been migraine-free for 3+ years. Now, I've taken the same Gut Repair Protocol that helped me reverse my own chronic headaches and personalize it for each of my clients.

When I'm not helping clients discover a natural approach to headache relief, you can find me traveling to South-East Asia, playing ice hockey (it’s in my Canadian roots), and competing in geeky board game nights with my husband and two young girls.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I have helped dozens of people across North America discover a life free of headaches without wasting money on remedies that don’t work so they can wake up each morning without dread, eat meals without fear, and get their life back. Knowing that I can help so many other people do the same energizes me every day!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Wearing multiple different business hats. I do my own marketing and bookkeeping and work individually with all of my clients. Though I am able to delegate some tasks to other team members, I feel it's important to be the face of my business which has meant learning a lot of marketing from scratch.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Don't give up. Seek support and coaching to accelerate your growth. Never forget to have time to yourself and do things you love outside your business.
