What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are the largest provider in the world of Halotherapy/dry salt therapy equipment in the world. Our main customers are spas, wellness centers, gyms, tanning salons, resorts, and high-end consumers.

Tell us about yourself

I’ve been a serial entrepreneur for over 25 years. I was on the founding team of Audible.com and have been involved with six other startups since then. I love to create and grow businesses that help people, and I love to manage teams of awesome people.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Selling Audible to Amazon.com for $300 million.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

There are no days off—which is both exhilarating and a bit tiring.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Build a very strong team with different skill sets than your own.
  2. Have access to money, as things will cost much more than you expect, and things take a lot longer than you expect.
  3. Expect to work very hard and be prepared for unexpected twists and turns—both good and challenging.
