What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am an Advanced Grief Recovery Method Specialist who educates and helps people move through grief and loss. I work with those who have encountered an emotional loss and need help.
Tell us about yourself
Long before becoming an Advanced Grief Recovery Method Specialist, I was always drawn to helping people navigate death and loss. She had experienced 17 deaths by the time I was 21, as well as being the daughter of a Gerontology nurse.
In 2012, she experienced a breakthrough with a Post Traumatic Stress diagnosis that completely sidelined me. While I had to focus on various modalities to get healthy, it wasn't until I came across the Grief Recovery Method, which helps you do a life review in 4 steps to help work with our emotional landscape, that leads to emotional freedom.
My focus is now on changing the conversation around grief and loss as well as leading people through the process. Watching their transformation is the most beautiful thing I can witness.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Getting started at this point in my life. I look at everything I do as a partnership and how I can be of service in whatever role I am in.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The amount of time you are on your own and not getting overwhelmed at all the hats you wear.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Remember to breathe, take one step at a time and JUST START. I have seen this so many times, yet still, feel it.
