Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in coaching but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Lenore Kantor, President of Growth Warrior, located in Brooklyn, NY, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
Growth Warrior provides strategic consulting and coaching to empower values-driven organizations and leaders to drive growth, positive impact, and change so they can shift, scale, or start something new.
Tell us about yourself
As a former corporate marketing executive, I spent over 20 years helping high-growth companies to launch new products, enter new markets and reposition themselves. I combine this business experience with my coaching background to deliver strategic recommendations with intuitive insight and deep marketing expertise. I value authenticity and alignment. I love guiding individual leaders, founders, and business owners, as well as organizations, to uncover their essence and chart a path towards their vision with clarity, key messaging, and communications. My clients are able to confidently take action on their big goals.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Next year, my business will hit the decade milestone, which feels significant. I've been able to create work that aligns with my values, and it gives me great pleasure to see and celebrate my clients' successes. Many continue to grow and leverage the skills and focus gained through our work together.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
As a business owner, particularly starting out, it's essential to wear a lot of hats to understand sales and marketing, finance and accounting, and technology. It can also be hard not to compare yourself to peers. I've learned to focus on my strengths and find the places and people who get you and align with your vision and values.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
First, get clear on what you want to create. Use this vision to guide you. Second, understand what matters to you and prioritize these values in the choices you make. Finally, know your strengths and what you enjoy doing. You can't be all things to all people, and aligning with your key priorities will help you build the right business model for you. It may be different from other similar businesses, and that's okay.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
There are different approaches to growth. I believe aligning vision, values, and strengths creates more authenticity, and this is how I support my clients.
