What's your business, and who are your customers?
Our clients are personal injury law firms. Our software helps these firms maximize revenues while optimizing efficiencies. Our software leverages AI and advanced analytics to enable our clients to make data-based decisions and automate processes.
Tell us about yourself
I was brought in back in October to turn around growth. It started four years ago, and growth was slow. Since I have been on board, in 9 months, we have doubled our revenue and our client base. I love to build companies and see decisions made come to life.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
In my last startup I joined as employee 13, $1M in ARR. Over five years with no outside capital, I was able to grow Vanguard Software to 10M and led our eventual exit that year to Wolters Kluwer for $110M.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
You are never "off." Vacations, sick time, family time... all of them get impacted.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Find a problem, determine the solution, and validate that market agrees. Take emotions out of it. Your baby is ugly; who cares as long as the market wants to buy it.
