What's your business, and who are your customers?

Grow at Your Pace is a boutique online learning platform. It provides access to professionals who are experts in personal or professional growth. They post their courses and will be available to answer questions four times a year. I'm pleased to provide this online support for people ready to learn and grow. For 20 years, I've seen myself as "a wheel, easing others forward." The people who take these courses are interested in learning new ways to grow professionally and personally.

Tell us about yourself

After supporting thousands of business owners as a business mentor, I founded a speaker series called Spoken Lives. Hosting this series was instrumental in my healing from a late-life divorce. Now, I am excited to curate experts and offer this platform to support others in their journeys. There are free resources on my website, too. I'm passionate about supporting people to become the best version of themselves!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I've written two business books and presented workshops on over 500 business topics since 2019. I was part of a team that grew a charity to the national level. Over 200 speakers have shared their stories at Spoken Lives. It's tough to choose which accomplishment I'm most proud of... they have each been highlights for me.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Maintaining the balance between work and home.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Choose something that you're passionate about, and it's easier to keep going until the money shows up.
Be kind to everyone you meet. Your network will surprise you.
Take micro-vacations monthly (4-24 hours that's just for you) to stay refreshed.
