What's your business, and who are your customers?
At the Greenleaf Center for Healing, transformational life coaching is my main focus, with holistic services added as needed. I serve business owners, CEO's, leaders, and individuals who are frustrated, experiencing difficulties in their personal and business relationships, or drop in business, health issues, and more. I help them connect to their true Soul-Centered Purpose so they can become the authentic, powerful, and compassionate business owners or people they were meant to be.
Tell us about yourself
Ever since I was young, I have been communicating with the presence of God and nature. I understood the energetic relationships in life. But, I was an oddity, and my family could not support my experiences due to their conventional upbringing. I clearly understood the need to be heard and excepted for who we are, without judgment, because the consequences can be devastating for some. For me, I lost confidence in myself because what I knew "inside" did not agree with what others said was true. This led me to be bullied in school, and I married an abusive, controlling husband.
I worked in corporate until I got divorced and became a single parent to my 3-year-old daughter. We had no real support, and we were both miserable while I was working long, thankless hours while my daughter needed stability and understanding while dealing with her father. I knew I had to become an entrepreneur for the flexibility and financial opportunities it allowed. I owned a couple of businesses until I began learning about metaphysics because my daughter had natural psychic experiences. I began learning holistic healing techniques when my dog was diagnosed with cancer. I also went back to college to study a variety of social sciences. I knew I was putting together a unique business that would help and support people who wanted to live an authentically happy life. My business is my calling. I am driven to create better ways to help people reclaim their Soul-Centered Purpose. And now, I've been guided to help leaders of our communities because of their ability to effect change for larger numbers of people. I am driven by the happiness and fulfillment I witness in my clients, and for a better future, I wish to provide for my granddaughters.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is the peace I witness in my clients. Also, the publication of my book, Re-Entering Eden Reclaiming our Wholeness and Divine Truth.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
It's a lot of work! Finding the right people to support my vision.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Have a well-developed business plan.
- Have a support team (personal and professional) who will remind you of your brilliance, keep you grounded, and love you no matter what!
- Be aligned with your Soul-Centered Purpose and see your business as a living entity that is reflecting you - your struggles and your ability to overcome and grow from them. It's also important to feed this living entity respect, love and gratitude. This includes the people working for you, your clients, etc. When a balance of business structure plus a heartfelt (soulful) connection is established, you vastly increase the degree of growth you and your business can achieve.
