What's your business, and who are your customers?

We believe that everyone deserves a plant-based lifestyle. That’s why we created Greenhero to make plant-based living easy, fun, and welcoming to everyone. We exist to spread the joy of plant-based living around the world -one person at a time- and do our bit for a happier, more sustainable future. Think of Greenhero as a plant-based lifestyle enabler, empowering people to switch and maintain a plant-based diet. Our product is a tech-driven platform acting as a personalized coach, resource, and community supporting people on their unique journey to living a plant-based life.

We are laser-focused on helping people who want to make the transition to a plant-based lifestyle. When someone wants to go for it, we are there to support them. It does not matter if they want to do it because of their health, the environment, animal welfare, or just to try something new. We don’t judge; we accept everyone and everything, no matter what.

Tell us about yourself

I started my own plant-based journey over ten years ago at a time when several of the people closest to me were suffering from lifestyle diseases. That, together with the inevitable fact of climate change, I felt I had to make a change to the way I was eating. It was a challenge, and it took me a few years to get there. Today about 80-85% of what I eat is plant-based. Figuring out how to make something that is important into something that is desirable.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Paying the bills doing what I love.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Spending a lot of time alone working and with your thoughts. Get good advisors and a psychologist. You can’t do it all by yourself.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Business is not about money. It’s about making dreams come true for others and for yourself.
  2. You’ll spend a lot of time working on making your business successful, so you better like what your business is about.
  3. You don’t need much to start helping people. Start small and persistently improve. You can only scale when your business is ready.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Live a balanced life. Work is just a part of life; it is not life.
