What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a private consultant. My Ph.D. is in Educational Business Leadership. I specifically work with clients starting their own businesses. Also, in business growth and marketing.

Tell us about yourself

I worked for major corporations for 35 years as a member of senior management. I had a spinal cord injury that forced me to revamp my life.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment was to continue to work with the love and compassion I have with people over the years to start Greater Concepts By Design. This allowed me to help people realize their dream of building a business and build confidence within themselves. Also, publishing my book Effective Supervision.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Seeing people with talent and sometimes wanting to help everyone, but time doesn't permit.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be Committed to the task.
  2. Understand you will work long hours from the beginning.
  3. Have a circle of positive influences.
