Tell us all about your business...
Hello! My business is fitness and all things improvement and self mastery. Anyone starting off in any endeavor must begin by understanding themselves and their strengths, weaknesses and following a discipline that involves physical activity, health and self actualization.
What's your background and motivation to get into the solopreneur life?
After many years of trials and self discovery, I stumbled into fitness and journeyed my way into becoming a master trainer. I wouldn’t be where I am without mentors and business partners and I now own and help operate three gyms and expanding. I am also serving as a guide to help others find their strengths by problem solving and continuous improvement. I also host a podcast called ValueVerse to talk about the stories of mastery, growth and success. Things that motivate me are problem solving, helping others by means of improvement and mastery.
As a business owner, what does success ultimately mean to you?
Helping others succeed, feeling good about the work you do, being of service and getting paid well to do so.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Constantly leveling up and starting from the bottom of the next level. Being flexible, adaptive and being used to having discipline at all times.
What are the top 3 tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run or grow a business today?
1. Find something you’re great at doing.
2. Delegate what you’re not great at doing.
3. Start small and don’t spend more than 20% of your funds to start.
If there was one thing you could do repeatedly to help grow your business, what would it be?
Continuous improvement in people, systems, processes.
What are some of the things you put in place to maintain a healthy work/life balance and to keep it all together?
I meditate, read, workout, journal, and talk to loved ones daily. Therapy bi weekly, and connect with others. Group dinners once a week, vacation and resetting bimonthly.
