What's your business, and who are your customers?

I help women with natural solutions for anxiety, sleep issues, pain, and inflammation. Most of my customers are busy moms. We have so many things on our plate, and we want to feel calm and relaxed through the daily struggles. Our completely THC-free, organic CBD edibles and topicals are a perfect addition to most wellness programs. They help our customers feel less stress throughout the day and sleep better at night- so we can do it all again tomorrow! We love talking about CBD! We have a chat button on our website that connects to a real woman to help answer all your questions. We believe in full transparency to help provide solutions to common issues.

Tell us about yourself

I love helping other women with solutions to the daily mom stress! I started this business because I wanted a natural, non-addictive solution for turning off the mom's brain and getting a good night's sleep. I found products that worked really well and then developed my own brand. I now have a curated line of CBD products that really help people. I am thrilled every time a customer tells me the products are helping them live a fuller, more active life.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is learning brand marketing from the ground up. I studied marketing in college and worked in the corporate world for a long time, so being the face of my brand has been new and exciting. I want to connect with other women like me and let answer all their questions so we can find a solution together. Learning digital marketing has been challenging and fun, and there is so much to learn as things are constantly changing.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things as a business owner is doing a little bit of everything and then knowing what to outsource. You have to train and then trust other people to help carry your mission forward.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Have a lot of patience. Things will inevitably not go as you anticipated. Plan on the plan bending- or breaking! Keep believing in yourself and your ability to pivot.
  2. Surround yourself with ambitious business owners. You will feel like giving up at some point. Know that you have a mentor that you can lean on to encourage you. They can help you when you're stuck, and you see you can't see a way to move forward. As a business owner, you are so close and so deep into every aspect. It's good to have an outside voice that you trust.
  3. Learn every aspect of the business so you know what's going on and you can manage it effectively. You can explain the mission and convey your passion, but you can't do everything as you grow. You will need to learn it and then pass it along to someone else to scale your business.
