What's your business, and who are your customers?
GlowChick, LLC is a small online Tarot company. We provide our clients with a glimpse into their future and provide any guidance that may be needed. Our clients are those that want to use metaphysical forces to enhance their lifestyle and operate at their highest vibration.
Tell us about yourself
I started GlowChick in the summer of 2020. At this time, COVID-19 was on the rise. I didn't feel comfortable returning to my nursing career when I had just given birth in April. I had to do something from home, and that's when I decided to begin using my gifts. I started out making scented candles and soon moved on to intention candles. These candles could be used to manifest money, love, etc. Shortly after, I began offering psychic tarot readings. Clients then found that using these readings and intention candles helped advance them to their highest vibration. I would definitely say seeing the improvements in my clients' lives definitely motivates me.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner would definitely have to be partnering with a local storefront to bring GlowChick candles and readings to storefronts. Through that, I was able to network and meet so many wonderful people in similar industries.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest part about being a business owner is the time. It's drastically different from being an employee, and I think a lot of us new entrepreneurs that started during the pandemic are greatly struggling with it. When you're an employee, you have the ability to go home and not worry about work. A business owner must make their business a part of their life. There is no break from it.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Don't quit your job while starting a business. It's going to take a lot of time and energy, but make sure you have the funds and time to grow your business.
