What's your business, and who are your customers?
Global Quantum Intelligence (GQI), a market and business intelligence firm steeped in quantum technology experience and solely dedicated to this sector, has just launched and already is serving major vendors and users, as well as governments and investors keen on gathering authoritative intelligence to guide business, policy and strategic decisions.
The new firm unites four well-respected businesses in the quantum industry, with 22 years of quantum experience among them: Co-founders André König, Chief Executive Officer; Doug Finke, Chief Content Officer; and David Shaw, Chief Analyst, along with Terrill Frantz, Chief Product, and Technology Officer. The leadership team operates from the United States and United Kingdom locations, with additional experienced team members in Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia Pacific.
Tell us about yourself
I am the publisher of the leading Quantum Tech newsletter (13K subscribers), author of a bestselling book on digital transformation, host of Quantum World Detangled, and frequent speaker on Quantum Tech. I have been featured in the New York Times, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, Popular Science, live TV, and stages from Las Vegas to Seoul with up to 40,000 in the audience.
I am the CEO of Global Quantum Intelligence, the premier market & business intelligence provider in Quantum Tech. And the Chairman of OneQuantum, the leading Quantum Tech community globally with 15K+ members. With 25 years of business experience, I have been a strategy and technology consultant to many Fortune 500 CEOs in both Europe and the USA, as well as to owners and operators of mid-sized services and manufacturing firms, often leading co-investments, consolidations, and turnarounds. Prior to my current role, I co-founded three startups - spanning Artificial Intelligence, Digital Transformation, NeuroHealth, and SaaS - and mentored hundreds of others through the General Assembly, the German Accelerator New York and other entrepreneurship programs.
I studied Quantum Computing at MIT (certificates), and I hold an MBA in Economics from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, as well as a Master's in Business from ICN School of Management. I speak English, German, French, and poor Italian. I have competed in national sailing championships and pursued special forces combat training.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Truly understand why you want to run your own business and what your single, unique goals are that you want to achieve.
- Be prepared for the long haul and the countless pivots, failures, and disasters that you will face and overcome. Accept this as a fact from day one.
- Do it. Plans, strategies, and pitches are great and important. But at the end of the day, it comes down to you doing it - don't talk about it, execute.
