What's your business, and who are your customers?
The Global Family Success Institute (GFSI) was founded to help BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) families build generational wealth. We partner with colleges, universities, nonprofits, and businesses by providing them with our trusted online courses, workshops, and webinars that educate and inspire families to be successful while cultivating their social well-being. GFSI is a division of Generations Empowerment Enterprises, LLC (GEE).

Our Tagline: Families Learning & Working Together Build Wealth.
Tell us about yourself
For many years prior to starting our business, people always asked us the following question: How did your family start your business and get over 30 family members from 3 generations to invest in your family business?
In 2016, we decided to answer this question by writing a book titled “The Power In A Vision Driven Family: The Journey To A Generational Vision.” We gave a copy of the book to our pastor. After reading the book, our pastor asked us to conduct a “Vision Driven Family Workshop” at our church. The workshop pushed us to create and publish a workbook titled “The Power In A Vision Driven Family Workbook: Journey To A Generational Vision.” The workshop was very successful and surpassed our expectations. This one workshop propelled us to conduct more workshops throughout the United States. As a result of conducting successful workshops and selling books, we started The Global Family Success Institute, a division of our family business Generations Empowerment Enterprises, LLC.
The one thing that provides us with daily motivation and keeps us moving forward is our comprehensive family vision, mission, and purpose, not stressing out over the “small stuff.” Our family business vision and mission are directly linked to our family vision and mission. Thus, the success of our personal family goals and dreams is linked to achieving our business vision and mission.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Our biggest accomplishment was in 2021 when we presented at the National Association of African American Studies & Affiliates Virtual National Conference on “10 Best Practices of Successful Families”. This was a global conference, and our presentation was translated into many languages for people and organizations worldwide.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The hardest thing that comes from being a business owner is the personal (ego), family, financial, and time sacrifice required to achieve generational success.
