What's your business, and who are your customers?
I'm a Spirit Life Mentor, dedicated to influencing people to connect within their soul, spirit, and higher power (God, for me) to live a joyful, satisfied life and become the Masterpiece you were meant to be. My ideal customers are those who are seeking a deeper, more meaningful life.
Tell us about yourself
I was a Massage Therapist for over 35 years and have always had people confide in me and ask how I'm usually so happy no matter what happens. While writing these interactions about 18 years ago, I realized there was a place for someone to help others. I became a life coach with a life coaching certificate, mental health coaching certificate, and finally, a spiritual life certificate. The more I followed the modules I had written for my clients, the more I aligned with the heart-centered spirit of living. I am now re-branding and expanding my business as Compelled To Impact to share content as well as include other experts to share their wisdom. I've gotten past the need for transparency to create a YouTube channel which is a whole new motivation to reach out to the heartache I see from hopelessness, sadness, and difficulty with life challenges.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Every person I've helped learn to navigate consistent progress is huge. Personally, I've made huge leaps from general life coaching to mentoring on a higher level from the heart. The transformation of re-branding has been a significant learning experience.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Making tough choices and not always having someone to discuss ideas with. The other part is having to fund my business during start-up personally and making changes for long-term benefits to my business and clients.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Research what is being done.
- Learn from others because you don't need to reinvent the wheel.
- Write your business plan with the understanding that it will change and evolve - that's a good thing.
- Be kind to yourself, and know that your business serves certain people who need what you have to offer in the specific way only you can deliver - it's not for everyone.
