Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health care service but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Caryn Isaacs, Founder of GetHealthHelp, LLC., located in New York, NY, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
I find ways for Aging Icons to continue their life's mission.
Tell us about yourself
I had a healthcare development business for over 30 years and started a physician-owned HMO. After the Affordable Care Act changed health delivery, I realized people needed help navigating this new system. My clients are so appreciative of the information I provide.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I am one of the pioneers in the field of Patient Advocacy. I am proud to be known as someone who helped to inform people about these services and how to start their own Patient Advocate business.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Being a solo business owner can be very lonely. Administration, marketing, and keeping up with what's happening in your field take as much time as working with clients.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Do your SWOT analysis before starting your business. What are your strengths and weakness, where are the gaps that you can fill, who is already in your field, and can you compete effectively?
Where can people find you and your business?
