Empowering U - Galit Ventura-Rozen

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Galit Ventura-Rozen, Business Expert and Consultant of Galit Empowering U, located in Las Vegas, NV, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a paid speaker that gets hired by companies and conferences to speak on topics such as mindset, leadership, business, and effective communication. I also work with women to show them how to reach seven figures in their businesses. For the most part, my customers are companies or conferences that are looking for an engaging motivational speaker with 25 years of experience in the business.

For coaching, my customers are women who are ready to go to the next level in their business by learning the methods I have used to own four businesses and be an entrepreneur for 25 years.

Tell us about yourself

I am motivated every day by the passion of inspiring and motivating others to live their best life, do what they love, and have financial freedom and limitless possibilities. (first company) I was in my last year of college to receive my first degree in business, and my friends were all looking for jobs, attending job fairs, and applying. It all didn’t feel right to me. I chose instead to study and take the real estate exam. I then looked for a top residential real estate agent to work for while still in school. To learn from the best.

I went out on my own about six months later and hustled to find buyers and sellers. After three deals that went horribly wrong selling homes, I decided residential real estate was not for me. I then found a top commercial real estate team to intern for. I worked with them for about six months and went out on my own. Within three years of going out on my own, I opened my first business, Realty 2000, a commercial real estate company when I was 24. Then, two years later, we changed the name to Commercial Professionals. For many, real estate is their second or even third career. For me, it was my first career.

In 2016, after going back to school to get my master’s degree in marriage and family therapy, I started practicing therapy and realized there was something a bit different I wanted to do. That is when Galit Empowering U was born. I started holding workshops for women that showed them how to get out of their own way to accomplish their goals through mindset. This turned into workshops, group classes, individual coaching, and more related to mindset and success in having your own business. Then I led into professional paid speaking ( I have spoken all over Canada and the United States in person and virtually all over the world).)

I speak on leadership, mindset, success, effective communication,n and more. I published my first book, The Successful Woman’sMindset, not long after that. Started my own podcast and tv show that is on Everyday Woman TV with the same name. www.galitventurarozen.com.  In March 2020, when the world shut down due to a pandemic, me and my best friend Angela Giles (both entrepreneurs) had some spare time, and women were reaching out to us asking what they should do to support their families. This is how Everyday Woman was born. We started a Facebook group (that today has 12000+ women) to hold workshops, women’s conferences, etc., virtually to help them succeed in their businesses.

This was all through the idea of. You must be seen and known to get more clients. We focused on visibility and success methods. This has turned into four anthologies with over 150 authors, masterminds, retreats, workshops, programs, and more (both virtually and, at times, in person). www.everydaywoman.me. Then, in November 2021, Everyday Woman TV was born. This is a network for women by women that is on 19 online platforms. We are building a place for women who want to inspire and motivate other women and use their expertise to do so. We are adding new TV hosts every day in all areas of expertise everydaywomantv.com

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is building a global brand in five years. With Everyday Woman TV, we have women that are hosts and part of our community from all over the world. We built a community of 13000 women on Facebook and are running workshops, retreats, a TV network, and more. My personal biggest accomplishment is going from having no experience or training in public speaking to getting paid to speak all over the USA and Canada in person and virtually all over the world. If you take a moment to watch the youtube video, I posted 6 years ago. You will learn why it's so crazy that I am a speaker today and have my own tv show with over 60000 views.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Setting Boundaries As a business owner doing what you love, you sometimes forget what time it is, about self-care, about walking away. Especially with work for most of us being mobile, mostly on the computer. For example, with technology today, it can be your best friend or your worst enemy. Anyone can get a hold of you at any time in multiple ways. Just because you receive a text from a client at 10 p.m. at night does not require you to respond. If you do respond, you have now set an expectation in that client's mind that you will respond to them at any hour.

When you first start working with a client, make very clear your boundaries for the days and hours you work. When you make these boundaries clear up front, they are now clear to the client. If the client reaches out at all hours of the morning or night, choose not to respond until the set hours you stated to the client clearly. Think about it: can you really help a client out at 10 p.m. at night, or is this more about their need to send that message?

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Know the value of your time: Figure out what your time is worth in relation to the income you are making or want to make, and break it down by hour. This will help you make executive decisions that will benefit your success. If you are making $100 an hour and are working on putting together a flyer for an upcoming sale, you may want to hire someone who may cost you $30 an hour. This is a big challenge for those who prefer to try to do everything themselves. When you figure out the value of your time, you will then realize that your time is valuable and should be spent on the tasks and goals associated with the success you strive to achieve.
  2. You must hold yourself Accountable: When you work for someone, you are held accountable for your job duties, goals, quotas, and more. Make sure to take time to set up your own accountability and goals. It is much easier to succeed when you know what success looks like for you. Make financial goals for the number of products or clients you will work with and future goals. When a task or opportunity presents itself that is not directly related to your goal, revisit it and make a decision that will benefit what you want to accomplish. If your strength is not holding yourself accountable, find someone who will.
  3. You must have self-motivation. When someone is not expecting you at the office, or you do not get a call if you do not show up to work, you will often have to self-motivate. How? Know what your motivation is for working. For some, it is the income they need to take care of themselves and their loved ones. For others, it could be passion and purpose for what they do. For others, it will be all of these and more. Make sure you know what your motivation is for those days you just do not feel like working.
