Go From Existential to Exponential - Gaia Ferreira
Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Gaia Ferreira, Founder and Owner of TITANiAM Coaching International, located in Dublin, Ireland.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
TITANiAM Coaching works with high-achieving, under-fulfilled entrepreneurs and business owners to get more joy, freedom, and fulfillment out of their life and business by identifying core beliefs and unconscious patterns that hold them back from experiencing life with greater reward, aligning them to their desires and supporting their body through genetic-based nutrition and lifestyle plans so that each client is fully optimized to succeed, Mind - Heart - Body - Soul.
Tell us about yourself
I am a best-selling author, speaker, and coach/mentor on alignment, purpose, and heart-centred leadership. I have lived in 9 countries, speak 4 languages fluently, and have set up businesses in different industries in 3 countries. As an IT executive who burned out at 35, I realized early on that there was more to life than status and responsibility. I set off on a mission to be an uncommon entrepreneur and to support as many fellow entrepreneurs wanting to live in joy (instead of stress) as possible.
Every morning, I watch the sunrise, soak in the magic and beauty of that natural phenomenon, give thanks for the privilege of having witnessed it, and carry that reverence in all moments of the day. I am a master at seeing the opportunity in a crisis - the ability to stay at peace with oneself is one of the states of being that my clients most relish developing while working with me.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Having created a business that gives me the privilege of moving people to their inner alignment so that they have greater confidence to live, love and lead from their heart and make an impact that matters in the world. Some of my clients go from complete breakdown to absolute freedom. Some go from material success to inner success. Some finally understand the meaning of living in deep joy. Watching the transformation, connecting deeply with those who have given me their trust, and knowing that THEY now also impact positive transformations in others is my biggest accomplishment as a business owner and human.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Everyone has challenges, and though the circumstances look different for business owners, it really comes down to the same thing (time management). As a single mom of 3 living in a foreign country, the hardest thing has been balancing the time available to me with the demands of my roles as an individual, a parent, and a business owner. It has taught me to accept what is, forgive myself for what wasn't possible, and stay true to myself when it would've been so much easier to give in to ease and comfort.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Top tips for anyone just starting? Get a coach - Get a coach - Get a coach. Seriously, though...
- Get a coach: someone outside yourself and your circle who can support the whole of you in staying true to your highest self. As a business owner, things will get tough, and sometimes, it will be easier to give in. You want to have a coach who'll remind you not to risk giving up on who you want to be in the long term for the comfort of who you can be in the short term.
- Use the coach to get clarity on who that is (who are you, really?): discover your true core values (the ingrained ones), not the ones that come from your environment, a book, or a hashtag. Too many leaders lead from a prescriptive formula and try to be something they're not. YOU already have everything you need to be the very best the world has ever seen. The right coach can show you how.
- Imagine yourself in 10 years. You've achieved the life of your dreams! Get clear on what your average Tuesday looks and feels like. With this image (and feeling) in mind, build your business to make it possible, and remember: if you're not doing it when you're building it, you won't do it when you have it.
