What's your business, and who are your customers?
I'm a content creator, and my customers are different French organizations using my services to help newcomers learn more about Canada and help them build their new life here. My customers are mainly companies needing content creation help, mostly for recommendations about how to post, what to post and to interpret and learn from their socials.
Tell us about yourself
My blog is the reason I am here now. And moving to Canada. I started creating content in 2014 when it was not trendy and talking to strangers online was not cool. This early start helped me create a customized job. I was able to help smaller businesses understand the power of social media.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Most of my business comes from recommendations and my presence on social media. I'm proud of having people recommending me!
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Juggling from one project to another without forgetting about the first one, being on top of everything that's your job, and all the side things that are not your main job. Admin, for example.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- You'll start small but act like you are big. Keep track of everything, and you will thank yourself for it later.
- Talk about your business around you. You can have the best idea ever if no one hears about it.
- Be patient. Rome wasn't built in one day, and reward yourself even for small victories. A victory is a victory!
