What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a medical aesthetics business that specializes in skincare and injectables like botox, fillers, PRP, and thread-lifts. Our customers are men and women seeking to preserve and enhance their appearance with non-invasive methods with little downtime.
Tell us about yourself
I am a medical physician, published author, and TV correspondent with a specialized interest in preventative health, nutrition, and aesthetics. I have been practicing medicine for over 15 years and love helping patients look and feel their best.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Being able to stay successful and operational and continue to grow four medical aesthetics clinics over the past few years during the pandemic was a great accomplishment. I look forward to growing, motivating, and training our staff in this exciting, ever-evolving industry.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
As a physician, we are trained in providing care and treatments to patients but not in managing staff and balance sheets and investing in marketing, advertising, and growth. Being a business owner requires time and energy dedicated to all of these things.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
See above - before starting a business, it's important to recognize that it's about more than just perfecting your skill or craft. Make sure that you have the time and interest in learning about accounting, advertising, and social media, as well as the ability to work as both a leader and team player with staff.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Medical aesthetics is an exciting, growing industry that is constantly evolving. It's becoming more and more popular with all ages, and there are lots of independent injectors popping up. Before choosing your provider, make sure to do your research and choose a reputable clinic.
