What's your business, and who are your customers?

Stokes Pacifique Associates was organized and established in 1991 with a mission to serve businesses and agencies by offering innovative solutions and support to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability of technical, material, capital, and human resources.

Tell us about yourself

As a young boy, I started a Lemonade and Snack Stand one Summer and earned over $80. Later, I became a Newspaper Boy, delivering morning newspapers six days a week. I really liked the idea of earning my own money. Throughout High School and College, I worked various jobs to finance different small ventures to sell products. Over time, friends, family members, and associates began asking me to help them with their business ideas. After offering assistance for free, I eventually decided to establish a business to assist other business owners. My motivation each day is to, in some small way, help my clients on their pathway to success.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

To receive the testimonies. Though I have served thousands of entrepreneurs, micro-enterprises, and small business owners, my greatest accomplishment is to have any one of them express their gratitude for my assistance after 5, 10, 15, or even 20 years of a successful business.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The hardest thing that comes with business ownership is the management of time & calendar and management of team or staff if you have them. Time is our most precious asset for productivity, and our team is what gives us the capability to multiply capacity and revenue.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be willing to accept the challenge of business ownership without the predictability of a job.
  2. Choose a business that gives you an advantage in experience, expertise, and network.
  3. Be Committed, Honest, Earnest, Determined, and Persistent about your business success.
