Tell us about yourself

I am a serial entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in owning and developing multiple successful businesses in several industries. The opportunity to create something from scratch and watch it grow is something that I find incredibly rewarding. The potential financial reward of having a business is always motivating as well. Being the leader of a successful business can lead to greater financial stability, which is a powerful motivator for many. As a business owner, it has allowed me to use my skills and talents to help others. Ultimately, I am always striving to help others get to the next level and build something great.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is, and continues to be, helping established business owners in all industries take the next step in becoming a franchise system. They have worked incredibly hard and have executed their vision so being able to help them realize their dreams and helping them grow and scale on a national and international level is by far my biggest accomplishment.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner is dealing with the financial aspects of running a business. It can be difficult to manage cash flow and make sure that you are always making enough money to cover all of your expenses. Additionally, you must put aside money for taxes, marketing, and other costs that can become costly. It can be very difficult to stay on top of your finances and make sure that you are always making enough to keep your business afloat. Being a business owner requires a lot of financial savvy and patience.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Understand your target market. Doing thorough market research and staying up to date with the needs and wants of your customers is essential for the success of your business.
  2. Invest in creating a strong brand presence to help you stand out from the competition. This can include anything from creating an attractive website to utilizing social media to crafting a strong and distinct logo.
  3. Be sure to create a plan for both short and long-term goals. Even if you are just starting out, it is important to have a plan that outlines what you need to do to reach your desired outcome. Doing so will help you stay focused and motivated.
