What's your business, and who are your customers?
As a Certified Coach and Ordained Minister, I provide Godly wisdom principles in coaching, public speaking, services, and products to help women recover from life's setbacks and learn strategies to overcome life obstacles/barriers in their life and business in order to have and keep their Purpose Zeal. I also help to provide spiritual support and guidance based on a Christian perspective to others to strengthen their relationship with Christ and other personal relationships as a Christian Counselor.
Tell us about yourself
Born and raised on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, I am a God lover, an ordained Minister, International Amazon Best Selling Author, Podcast Host, TedX Speaker, wife, mother, philanthropist, and an Award Winning Certified Coach and Certified Christian Counselor. After surviving and overcoming many life experiences such as alcohol addiction, divorce, depression, and so much more, I decided that it was time to create value from my past challenges and alongside my experience. Knowing that my yes is connected to someone else's destiny pushes me to keep going. There was a time I had lost everything, and I want that feeling again. I only lose when I quit, and I won't. My children and family are my why!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My business went global, certifying others in Nigeria and Barbados within six months of launching my Christian Counselor Certification program. Both my LLC and my nonprofit are global businesses.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things is investing but not seeing the return right away. You have to be willing to have down days in the business but not give up. You may launch a program but not have many clients to book after investing in software but have a blueprint and strategy to gain your clients before investing. You have to have a proactive game plan.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Have a pure why.
