What's your business, and who are your customers?

Fraîche is building the future of cafeterias to be more sustainable, convenient, digital, and healthier. The goal is to bring teams back together, around healthy exciting food. The time they will save not going out alone and waiting in line is reinvested into socializing and spending time together… as a team! Overall, the additional cost is low, but the impact on employees is significant!

Tell us about yourself

I arrived in New York City 5 years ago, full of ambitions to work with the founder of Le Pain Quotidien, I learned a lot with him and understood the main pains of food retail. I've also seen what needed to change and evolved in the food system in the US: Transparency, waste, packaging, sourcing, health... It gave me the will to start Fraîche and create some impact in the food space, making healthy food more accessible in NYC's offices.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Having an incredible team of such talented people. Finding the right people with the right mindset and commitment is not easy. So when you find them, you need to take care of them as much as possible. Everyone needs to be in love with what they are doing and committed to the cause.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Being on top of your game all the time: Your team will look after you, and you need to protect them. Prioritize: being a business owner means supervising all the teams and giving everyone the vision. It's hard to prioritize the thousands of missions you own or lead. You need to be bold and very well organized.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Believe in your dreams.
  2. Surround yourself with the best.
  3. Stay focused, and resilient. Your time will come!
