What's your business, and who are your customers?
FORAH is a raw, natural, and powerful sunscreen and skincare brand born by vast mountains, rich temperate rainforests, and expanses of rugged land bound by deep, sometimes unruly seas. It's from these natural spaces that FORAH draws much of its inspiration, and in turn, it's that nature that plays an intrinsic role in its guiding fundamentals. We are certified organic, cruelty-free, gluten-free, GMO-free, and reef safe. All our products are free from harsh chemicals, parabens, synthetic fragrances, phthalates, dyes, microplastics, and petrochemicals and are sustainably packaged. FORAH is for everyone.
Tell us about yourself
I'm a creative and professional athlete who spends the majority of my days outside in the elements. With a focus on natural and organic skincare, I couldn't find a mineral sunscreen that was light enough to wear every day while strong enough to endure the elements. This question planted the seed that grew into FORAH.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I set out to build a business empowering creatives, environmentalists, and people to confidently switch from chemical to physical sunscreen.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
My background is in entrepreneurship and freelance creative work. Being a business owner is all I know and love.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Just get started. You don't need a ton of money, just a good idea and a lot of drive. Don't give up if it doesn't 'work' in the first three years. Nothing good comes easy.
