What's your business, and who are your customers?
At Flow Spa, we help stressed-out people relax and recover with the best treatments and services to help them get back to doing more of what they want to. This includes our services of float therapy, massage therapy, infrared sauna and cold plunge, and health coaching.
Tell us about yourself
Progress is everything to me. Each day I get up and do what I do to continue to make progress in my life. It's through daily growth and taking action that we find meaning. And it's been through this process that I realized I wanted to work for myself and control my own fate instead of having someone else dictate what I do each day.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is the relationships and community that I have built. When I look back on everything so far and where we are going, all that really matters at the end of the day is the impact that we've had on individuals in helping them to be better versions of themselves.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things about being a business owner is that you are navigating an unknown trail in the dark. You never know what's coming next, as much as you try to forecast. I was looking at a bright, promising, and continual phase of growth in March of 2020 when a week later, our business was shuttered due to the pandemic and continued to sputter with starts and stops for the next two years.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Never make a decision on the same day it was presented to you.
- Do something you love and let it kill you.
