What's your business, and who are your customers?

At Flouwer Co., we handcraft all-natural, plant-based, floral-infused foods. Each of our products is a feast for the eyes and for the taste buds. Balancing the perfect blend of flavors and flowers to give new life, flavor, and beauty to everyday grazing. We're always striving to inspire all things From the Garden To Gathering. Our flagship product is our Artisanal Crackers, loaded with flowers and fresh herbs, but we've had so much fun with our entire Cocktail & Garnishing line we recently launched that includes Cocktail Cubes, Finishing Sugars, and Garnishing Salt.

Tell us about yourself

I am not from the food industry, so I find every day to be a bit of a challenge. I spent my entire career prior to co-founding Flouwer Co. in investment banking and corporate finance. I do use some of the tools from my prior experience, but I still find myself on a steep learning curve most days. I am motivated by helping to build a company centered around topics that I am passionate about - sharing and celebrating with beautiful food. On days when I am feeling a little worn down or lost, I like to look to the amazing women that have joined our team over the years. Their passion for Flouwer Co. always refills my tank.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Every day feels like an accomplishment. We've made it so far, and although I am sure we still have a very long way to go, we have overcome some major obstacles and continue to grow and thrive.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

You have to wear all the hats!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Be flexible, be tenacious, be giving.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Never listen to those that tell you to "Stay in your lane." Take it from me.
