What's your business, and who are your customers?

Superwomen Training offers personal training and nutrition coaching for all women wanting to get stronger and healthier. We want our clients to walk into the weight room confident and ready to reach their goals.

Tell us about yourself

I started as a fitness instructor while studying at university, then moved into personal training, yoga, and nutrition coaching over the course of 12 years. I only became interested in working out in a gym after rehabbing a knee injury in my early twenties. Regaining my strength and function left me feeling so empowered I wanted to share that experience with others. Seeing my clients' confidence and body image improve through their workouts keeps me going.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I am now doing this full-time.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Comparing yourself to others. Not everyone's experience will be the same. Sometimes, it takes longer to reach your goals, but that does not mean you can't keep trying.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Do a ton of research prior to learning about your potential customers and industry trends.
  2. Take care of yourself; burnout is common, so be sure to prioritize your health and well-being.
  3. Don't be afraid of failure but be cautious with your choices.
