What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a Funky Teeshirt brand for women, “We Kill the Ordinary,” we like to serve our artists and businesswomen. Women who like to stand out while they are traveling or partying. A woman who may be a foodie who loves music and likes to go to concerts. Or a very nonconservative mother who still likes spicy clothes.
Tell us about yourself
It all started back in 2003 at Clark Atlanta University. I cut up a tee that my daddy had given me and got a lot of feedback on it, so I received my aha moment!!! The fact that people actually like my pieces helps to motivate me to keep going to push hard for the goals of generational wealth to be able to move the assets down the family line.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Purchasing the trademark for the brand.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Marketing and obtaining startup capital.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Make sure that you keep your personal credit up to date and healthy, and always get out and network with like-minded people.
