Provide Stronger, Positive Results - Fearless Culture

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Gustavo Razzetti, CEO of Fearless Culture, located in Chicago, IL, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are a workplace culture design consultancy. We help teams from both the corporate and startup world assess, design, and build innovative, purpose-drive, agile cultures.

Tell us about yourself

After 20+ years as a consultant in the innovation and marketing world, I realized that companies have more ideas and talent than they realize. What they lack is a conducive culture that helps that creativity and potential see the light of day. What drives me is to help leaders and teams unleash their full potential by removing obstacles, encouraging candid and courageous conversations, and building an experimental mindset.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

To have developed a revolutionary – yet simple – method to map and design company culture. It's called the Culture Design Canvas and is a framework that now over 100,000 professionals across the world have adopted.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Revenue predictability is one of the hardest things for me.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Aim for the long-run: build a business that's sustainable in the long term, even if that means saying no to short-term opportunities that will distract you from your North Star.
  2. Define the type of client you want (and the ones you don't want to work with). Being obsessive about this will save you a lot of headaches. Painful clients will suck out your energy from the clients that are worth serving. What do I mean by 'painful'? Non-profitable clients that don't know what they want, those who are not aligned with how you do business, or want to tell you how to run your business – build your own criteria.
  3. Show up every day and be consistent. The effort during the first months will look like it's unworthy. It takes time to build a consistent business. Don't give up. I'm getting calls from clients that have been reading my articles for over 3 years before they reached out for the first time.
