I love helping dreams become a reality! I am a business & marketing coach at Fearless Business Boss. I empower others to start, scale, & grow their business.

Tell us about yourself

I became disabled by MS & Lupus nearly 20 years ago and could no longer work outside of my home, especially while homeschooling three children. In 2008 after moving to Virginia, I needed to find a way to add to our family income. So, I began working from home as a virtual assistant. I knew if I grew, I wanted to empower other disabled professionals to work from home also. So I contracted with many to help our clients. We went from being Multi-VA Agency to a boutique digital marketing agency over the years. I took courses to help our clients with their digital marketing demands (which I finally exited in 2020 to embrace coaching full-time). I love what I do and have always mentored and coached others, so I made it official in 2017 to offer coaching services to clients. I hope I can inspire others who think "it is over" or that they "Just cannot do it" as I am proof you can work from bed if needed (as I often do).

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

  1. I would say that overcoming my shy introvert nature to be able to speak at online events to help others to begin or scale in their business journey.
  2. Empowering other disabled professionals to work from home.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Being Consistent in everything you do. From social media to answering emails to serving clients, we need to get up every day and be true to ourselves while being present and consistently show up.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Just Start - don't wait until you feel it is perfect; just put it out there (You know more than you think you do).
  2. Start your email list immediately - I waited years to do this and soon found it was my biggest way to attract clients. Get your free offer up and start collecting email addresses.
  3. Start SEO Blogging as soon as your website is finished. It was one of the #1 ways I helped my clients show up higher in search engines.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

I am a wife, mother, and Noni (grandmother) to my family. One of the reasons I began working from home was to be with my family and still help my children learn. They are grown, 2 of the 3 with their own families, but I still have the freedom to adjust my schedule if needed or to simply spend the weekend with them when celebrating events without worrying about missing work.

I am also a Pastor's wife - we have been in ministry for over 25 years. I'm grateful for the ministries we have served and the mission trips we've done. In my 'free' time, my hubby and I love to cruise once a year (hoping to increase to 2-3 times). My other 'hobbies' are scrapbooking, writing, and bible studies (I have an online study at the moment).
