Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Joaquin Navarro, CEO of FCC CONSULTING LLC, located in St. Petersburg, FL, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a consulting that specializes in opening companies and bank accounts for Non-Residents of the United States to operate their businesses from the first world economy joining a global market. Our clients are mainly located throughout South America and some European countries. We cover all the registrations to operate, in addition to tax declarations, and additional services such as administrative, legal, trademark registration, payment processing platforms, and many more that we invite you to learn about on our website.
Tell us about yourself
I am an accountant, born in Argentina. Several years ago, life led me to live in the United States, where I started several projects of my own. Thanks to the experience of opening different companies, I discovered that same need in Non-Residents to expand their businesses, their clients, and their income, so I decided to create First Choice Consulting. We are a family business, and seeing how our services change the lives, and realities of many other people motivate us every day. For this reason, we are also constantly expanding our portfolio of services so they can find a solution with us at every step towards success.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I am a person who constantly seeks both personal and professional growth for myself and those around me. Creating my own company is a constant challenge that requires a lot of time when you want to provide a quality service, but at the end of the day, I find it very satisfying that what I do is my vocation. Being able to choose the people with whom to work side by side and seeing their progress each day fills me with pride.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
When you work as an employee, you have specific tasks and schedules to fulfill, and at the end of the workday, you can disengage from work. As a business owner, the biggest challenge is to detach yourself from the business at times since you constantly think about current and pending tasks and how to improve the services we provide every day. In addition, as CEO, you carry out your own tasks, but you must constantly learn and be aware of what is happening in the rest of the areas.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
The first tip would be to operate as a company. Registering a company will bring you more benefits than operating as a natural person, in addition to separating liability and protecting your assets, giving you a greater presence, a better relationship with your suppliers, possible tax deductions, and more.
The second tip would be to find a partner who supports your growth and learning. Surrounding yourself with the right people can be critical to the success of your business.
The last and perhaps most important tip is to never give up. Success doesn't come from motivation; it comes from perseverance.
