What's your business, and who are your customers?
We make gut-friendly crackers using green banana flour. Our customers are retailers, corporate offices, and schools to name a few.
Tell us about yourself
My name is Alex; I was born and raised in LA. I started working on my business after working in food for over seven years. I am motivated each day to work because I care about creating a healthier, better world through food.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Our biggest accomplishment is building a team of motivated “Square Squad” to help grow and spread our mission of improving human well-being through gut health.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things for me as a business owner is trying to balance things internally and externally. Internally, I have to balance my own priorities, life, and relationships within my work. Externally, I have to balance priorities, communicate clearly and set meaningful goals.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Hire slowly, develop meaningfully, and fire quickly if needed.
- Numbers are boring, but boring is everything.
- Spend more time on people than you think you need to.
