What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is Eyetamins. We create ophthalmologist formulated, carefully sourced, 100% natural, vegan, and non-GMO supplements designed to fight common eye health challenges from the inside out. Our customers are people with dry eye, digital eye strain, age-related vision loss, and macular degeneration.

Tell us about yourself

I am a board-certified ophthalmologist. Every day, I see patients with dry eyes who are unhappy with the current standard treatments. Most of them take eye drops which are not fully effective. They are like placing a band-aid on the problem rather than getting to the root of the problem from the inside out. That's what led me to develop our formulas which have helped tens of thousands of people.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Thousands of happy customers whose lives have been improved with our products. Seeing their testimonials day after day is what keeps me going.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Always putting the customer first, even if it comes at your expense. It's not always easy to do, but it's the right thing to do, and it's the most rewarding.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Focus on making the best product that you can. Everything else flows from that.
  2. Always put the customer first. Be customer obsessed.
  3. Starting a business is not for everyone. It's OK to be an employee. You can still make a huge impact.
