What's your business, and who are your customers?

Exotic Elephant was created to offer premium CBD products to normalize and elevate the finest ways to unlock and experience the life-changing possibilities of the mysterious hemp plant. Our customers run the gamut, from young adults to seniors. The benefits of our products are endless. We help our customers live healthy, active lives to feel and look fantastic. We pride ourselves on only delivering the best quality products to you. All our CBD products are developed by our Co-Founder, Ell Gregory-Campbell, a licensed esthetician.

As plastic pollution is causing devastation to our planet and ecosystems, we try to minimize the use of plastic and only use packaging that has multiple uses and is environmentally friendly. The shrink wrap we use is certified biodegradable. Our containers are glass, aluminum, and paper, so they can easily be reused or recycled. We are committed to creating safe, consistent, and effective products. We conduct multiple independent labs tests throughout the entire process, from seed to final product, to confirm our CBD products are free of pesticides, herbicides, mold, fungi, heavy metals, and mycotoxins. Our testing also guarantees our products contain the optimal amount of cannabinoids and terpenes.

Tell us about yourself

Our love for the environment and belief that farming and the beauty industry should be more transparent and inclusive motivated us to create Exotic Elephant LLC. In 2019 we set out on our mission to cultivate hemp and formulate luxurious CBD cosmetic products.

Knowing that our customers are finding relief from pain, anxiety, sleeplessness, or simply being able to relax and enjoy life more is what keeps me going.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I feel so accomplished running a women-owned business with my daughter in an area that is male-dominated. Having bootstrapped the company and hitting our goals in a young and emerging industry is amazing.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Having to manage everything from accounting, marketing, sales, business development, customer service, and product creation and dealing with regulations can be a bit challenging.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be ready to adapt and constantly learn.
  2. Have a basic understanding of accounting or make sure you can hire an accountant.
  3. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there and keep your goals high.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

In today's world, it is so important to use all the new technologies. Especially utilizing the online space, such as social platforms, influencers, and networking opportunities. There are so many options to promote your business for free or with very little money.
