What's your business, and who are your customers?
Evisio is the central hub for all parts of the SEO process and all members of your SEO team, even if you use multiple tools and you're working with both internal and external resources. With evisio, you can easily run your audits, build your strategic plan, assign tasks to team members, and measure results in one simple, comprehensive tool. Our customers are SEO freelancers, SEO side hustlers, and SEO consultants.
Tell us about yourself
I'm a tech founder in Austin, TX, who's from humble beginnings. My story started in San Antonio's Westside, which was spotlighted in a documentary 50 years ago called 'Hunger In America' for its deep-rooted poverty and ties to Mexican culture. Citing research from Trinity University professor Christine Drennon, things haven't changed much since. "The report highlights 78207, for having high poverty and unemployment rates and limited numbers of people with high school diplomas and health insurance. In the West Side neighborhood where Lanier High School is located, just 53% of adults have a high school diploma. I made it out and would love to share how I did it, the lessons I learned, and where I'm headed next.
Evisio.co is my latest venture. It's an SEO performance platform dedicated to helping agencies, marketers, and SEO consultants get rankings in Google and other search engines, no matter their level of SEO knowledge. It takes the guesswork out of SEO by telling users exactly what to do to improve their rankings and makes SEO simple by bringing all the parts of the SEO process together in one place.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising from The University of Texas at Austin School of Communication with a focus on Digital Media. I am a dedicated growth marketer with over 12 years of experience in digital marketing and search engine optimization. I have worked on the agency side, managing clients in multiple industries, and led SEO teams at Volusion - an e-commerce platform company. Built and led SEO strategy for Fresenius - a billion-dollar healthcare brand. I also headed growth and product marketing for a large EdTech company in the legal space and led global SEO for Nike/Converse. I founded both an SEO agency SearchRPM and product evisio.co.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Bootstrapping my own product.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Learning to deal with the constant ups and downs - that happen daily.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Make the business about something you know.
- Find the right people you need to help make it happen (it can be based on your strengths and weaknesses).
- Marathons hurt so good.
