Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in clothing but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Camilla Bottari, Founder of Eve's Disclosure, located in New York, NY, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Eve's Disclosure, founded in 2021 In New York City, is one of the first health-conscious, eco-friendly panty companies made by women for women that blur the line between comfort and sexiness. Eve's Disclosure empowers and celebrates women and their bodies by creating a sustainable, gynecologist-tested product that feels good and supports a healthy resting place for every Vulva.

The panties collection is produced in New York city with sustainable textile and packaging sourced from the United States. The undies are made of TENCEL® Modal fibers, a cellulose wood pulp sourced from sustainably managed forests complemented with IONIC+® antimicrobial technology, which uses the natural powers of silver ions to provide life-long odor protection. This eco-friendly panty line creates the feeling of a second skin.

Tell us about yourself

My name is Camilla Bottari; I'm Italian, from Florence, living in New York for 12 years. I started this brand because, as an avid allergy sufferer, I struggled to find a sexy line of undies that wasn't made out of synthetic fibers (material many allergy sufferers cannot wear), which is a breeding ground for bacteria or the less than admirable cotton styles. I was baffled that there was no option to be sexy and healthy at the same time. No woman should have to compromise the health of her vulva just to feel sexy, which is why we design sustainable garments that not only accentuate every angle and curve of your body but also keep your feminine health in check!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is to see our products having a positive impact on thousands of women that, like me, don't want to sacrifice their health in order to feel sexy.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest part of being a business owner is that your mind never switches off; running a business is something that you think about it 24/7, and often you doubt yourself.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Find a gap in the market and go for it.
  2. Your mission should be what you can improve for the people and the planet.
  3. Don't Give Up!

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

At Eve's Disclosure, we believe that health starts with education. With dedicated writers and editors working alongside an in-house team of OBGYNs, we've made it our duty to share reputable information through our blog and social platforms. Our hope is that this will encourage our audience to be more in tune with their bodies and gain the confidence to advocate for their health.
