At Everland, we manufacture healthy and delicious plant-based organic and natural foods in Canada. Our foods are good for you and the planet and offer the best value.
Tell us about yourself
Love of food led me to join our family business. Knowing that I am making a difference every day motivates me. Providing value to consumers, owners and staff gives me satisfaction.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Having been able to survive and grow our small manufacturing business in these times while being ethically, socially, and environmentally responsible is our biggest accomplishment. For this reason, we have received the City of Burnaby's Business Excellence Award.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Work-life balance is the hardest thing for a business owner.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Learn as many skills as possible early in life ( reading, writing, arithmetic).
- Learn to delegate early in the business.
- Keep your eyes open - plan, learn and research every day.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Passion, self-confidence, faith, hope, and hard work are the ingredients for success.
