What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are Escalante Training & Consulting. We work with small to medium sized business owners who need psychological training and consulting to overcome complex staffing and market condition problems.

Tell us about yourself

I got started and became very passionate when I first learned Neuro-Linguistic Programming and discovered I could cure a lifelong phobia in 15 minutes or less. Since 1986, I've worked with thousands of people from all walks of life to help them overcome lifelong challenges. Seeing results in clients keeps me motivated to continue to help others.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I've survived highs and lows in the marketplace to have Houston's only NLP Training Center.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

In the past, it's creating a base of clients to not go through feast or famine. Now that we are established, we get a lot of referral clients from all over the country.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be clear of what you do for others and stick to that lane.
  2. Keep your brand fresh with images and relevant messaging.
  3. Position yourself to be the expert in your area and shamelessly promote it.

Find mentors and hire coaches who have done what you want to accomplish.
