What's your business, and who are your customers?

eq4me is a holistic training and coaching company specialising in emotional intelligence. Our customers are parents, knowledge workers, professionals, and business leaders from all over the world.

Tell us about yourself

I started my business 16 years ago to help people achieve their potential, focusing on communication and leadership skills. Four years ago, I decided to specialise in emotional intelligence because I realised that EQ incorporates the core set of skills everyone needs to succeed at work and in life. It is my sacred commission to help people develop their emotional intelligence so that they can become more self-aware, self-managed, socially aware, relationship sensitive, and self-motivated. This is my purpose in life.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Building eq4me into a modern digitally-enabled learning and coaching resource for people all over the world and completing my first book on EQ called "30 EQ Strategies that will change your life."

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

In my case, it is delivering world-class private and group coaching sessions on EQ whilst still selling and marketing our product and services continuously to achieve the financial success that is required to keep fulfilling our purpose.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Know exactly what problem you are trying to solve.
  2. Make sure your business goals align with your personal life purpose.
  3. Work smarter and harder than anyone else in your industry, and never give up.
