What's your business, and who are your customers?

Here is a recent article about myself and my business partner:
https://forbespeople.com/jean-louis-hardy-james-gamet-teach-entrepreneurs-to-reach-their-dreams/

My business is to: To change the lives of 582 million entrepreneurs by helping them become high achievers. We Guide entrepreneurs to make enough money to support their purpose and connections in life. To help people feel more connected with God and to be guided by purpose, to actually find fulfillment in what they do in life.

Tell us about yourself

I am a medically retired US Marine. Like Hardy, I faced my battles: depression and anxiety, specifically. This was the lowest part of my life and caused me to closely examine what it truly means to be successful. Overcoming despair was the catalyst for my journey, and now I have spent over ten years coaching high-performance athletes, building businesses from the ground up and selling them, and speaking on mindset, mental health, and how to optimize your life. I volunteer with multiple veterans' organizations, and my mission is to impact as many people as possible and see them live fulfilling lives. Knowing that one little piece of advice can change someone's life, one conversation can motivate someone to keep on pushing forward, and knowing that my daughters are always watching me. I want to be the best version of myself to ensure I am providing a good example for my kiddos. Inches make miles, progress over perfection.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Receiving the awards:

  • Top 100 Marketing & Advertising Influencers

Helping multiple businesses during COVID go from about to close their doors forever to having some of the best months of their company's life.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Trading in the safety and security of the traditional 9-5 for a 24/7 that you cover all of the overhead. Going against the grain and what people have been taught their entire lives and keeping with the commitment when it gets tough, and people depend on you.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Focus on providing value to your customers: Your business should solve a problem for your target market or fulfill a need. You need to understand what your customers want and tailor your products or services to meet their needs. Always aim to exceed their expectations and provide them with an exceptional experience.
  2. Be resilient and embrace failure: Starting and running a business is not easy. You will face many challenges, setbacks, and failures. The key is to embrace these failures, learn from them, and keep moving forward. Be persistent, and don't give up. Your success will depend on your ability to keep going despite the obstacles.
  3. Build a strong team: Your business is only as good as the people you work with. Build a strong team of talented, motivated individuals who share your vision and values. Invest in their development and provide them with the resources and support they need to succeed. Together, you can achieve great things and take your business to new heights.
  4. Always remember, Inches make miles. The only thing separating you from the greatest in the world is the amount of time and effort spent honing your craft. Progress over perfection, take action and adjust. Be willing to try, and you will eventually find your footing. The only time you ever really fail is when you give up.
