What's your business, and who are your customers?
Energetix Health helps people achieve their wellness goals and feel the body, mind, and best-self results. We do this in a holistic, personalized, and proven way through scientific methods and proprietary lab blood tests.
Our primary market is Integrated Delivery Network healthcare systems.
We also have a significant socio-economic interest, always looking for ways to provide a national, equal healthcare system that relies on health care over sick care at a reasonable cost that reflects global value.
Tell us about yourself
I'm personally motivated by success, but everyone defines success differently. And that's a good thing. I first started out on Energetix with my own health issue. I searched for ways to understand the info that I was getting and learned how to work the system to get the most effective care. Through this process, I realized just how broken the US healthcare system actually is. My business partner has similar issues, and we individually found our best paths to be outside of traditional medicine.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Being in it for the long haul. I founded a design and branding studio and ran it top to bottom for 23 years, Energetix Health is my third tech startup, so I guess I'm a lifer.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Learning to maintain balance. The highs shouldn't be so high, and the lows can't be that low. Inner balance, calm reactions, and measured responses win the day for me every time.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Remember that the questions may be the answers, and often the answers are the questions.
- Challenge everything, if not out loud, then at least you yourself. Strategies, Plans, schedules, and even yourself they're all on the table all the time.
- Don't build it to sell it. Think about your business as a long-term, singular endeavor, and keep in mind that YOU are the glue that holds it all together for as long as you want to. Don't be obsessed with investors or dream about that IPO.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Check-in with yourself as much as you can. Get a few trusted advisors around you. Do it in a way that's comfortable and works for YOU.
