What's your business, and who are your customers?
I'm a Personal Stylist, working with people who feel stuck in a style rut and want help elevating their outfits, editing their wardrobe, or shopping for clothes. I work with men and women, but my core customer base is mums who've been through a major life change (like having a baby) and need to rediscover themselves. I work locally in Hertfordshire, as well as offering online styling.
Tell us about yourself
I lost my confidence after having children, and learning about personal style helped me so much that I wanted to bring that joy to others in an affordable way.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Successfully launching new services that my clients asked for, such as makeup lessons and style parties.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Finding time to do all of the admin that comes with owning a business, as well as juggling family life.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Ask for help - whether from mentors or people who can help balance your personal life.
- Plan your days - hour by hour so you schedule time for everything that needs to be done.
- Sell yourself - learning to pitch your ideas so that others want to buy them is crucial.
