What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are in the personal care services business, specifically providing manicure and pedicure, and nail arts. We take pride in providing a safe and clean environment for our clients as well as our staff, i.e., sanitizing our tools and equipments abiding by the health code applying to our industry. Moreover, nails can be fun; therefore, we also provide nail arts and nail extensions as well as nail care (for peeling nails, broken nails, and/or advice on the type of nail cosmetic for our clients)
Tell us about yourself
FUN and FASHION are our motto. We used to be a lady clothing retail before immigrating to Toronto, Canada. We would love to stay within the beauty industry. I love nail arts and have been a big fan for years. It is natural for me to pursue this career path. I enrolled in a beauty career college and took lots of short courses online and private to further my knowledge. Whether it is a nail design that puts a smile on a client or just a simple job such as a regular manicure that satisfies our clients, these are the things that motivate us each day.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Being able to survive throughout the pandemic COVID-19 and keep a positive outlook.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Ensuring the survival of our business during this time, i.e., the COVID-19 pandemic.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
It may sound obvious, but one must love what you do and do what you love, and it is the only thing that keeps you going each day.
