What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are a health and wellness consumer goods manufacturer. Our customers include retail chains and distributors, and we also sell directly to consumers through our website.

Tell us about yourself

I am a graduate from Argosy University and Tel-Aviv University, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Arts in Public Policy (Summa Cum Laude) and the International Program for Conflict Resolution & Mediation.

I'm integrally responsible for developing and executing ELX’s corporate strategy. I began my professional career at JP Morgan Chase (2001-2009), where I served as a Regional Manager for the Nevada territory. I spent four years at Paychex Corporation, helping hundreds of companies institute corporate compliance strategies and audits. Knowing that I am helping improve the quality of people's lives motivates me every day.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Establishing a manufacturing facility to employ people locally and hearing from all the people we are helping every day.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The hardest thing about starting a CPG company is financing. We are looking to take our company public, and navigating the financial world is complicated.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Surround yourself with people who encourage you.
  2. Find a good mentor.
  3. Find competent companies to do business with. There are many people who do a good job marketing their services but do a poor job of delivering results.
